Moi

This is a simple collection of beautiful words. They are poems, quotes, lyrics and excerpts that have resonated with me. They are words that have made me smile, laugh, cry and sometimes simply take pause. I hope you enjoy my blog, lovingly named after the closing lines of Mary Oliver’s The Summer Day:
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
I love your selections – for all the reasons of which you spoke. Having been a bookseller all of my adult life, I have had the joy of selecting beautiful words to share with the world. I would have loved to find a book with such a collection as you have offered. At 65, I miss my little bookstore and am just beginning to learn to maneuver about on this strange new ocean called “The Internet”. But I am glad to have found you here!
What a sweet note. Thank you.

Hello! A quick note to thank you for this profound collection. I am tucked into bed, reading from my phone, crickets chirping in my backyard. What a beautiful way to spend my evening. Looking forward to more.

God is closer to us than the air we breathe.
